Anderson
After Attending the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls,
Ed started his broadcasting career at KBBG in Waterloo in 1979 as
a News/Sports Reporter/Disc Jockey. He interned at Channel 2 (WMT
TV) in Cedar Rapids. Ed later became involved in the programming
department at KBBG. Hired as a news reporter at KXEL AM and sports
director at KOKZ FM in Waterloo in 1983. Ed was the voice for high
school football, basketball, and baseball for Waterloo Cablevision
from 1983 to 1989. He then became the sports director and assignment
editor for KXEL in 1990. Ed also assisted in the farm department
at KXEL from 1990 to 1998. Ed Left KXEL in 2001. He then started
at Radio Dubuque in June 2002 as a news reporter/anchor.
Hobbies: Plays bass guitar and performs stand-up comedy at various
clubs and functions throughout the Midwest.
